In his next long-term message "Kazakhstan-2050", the Head of state N. A. Nazarbayev noted that the main directions of education should increase the importance of education, create favorable conditions for innovation.

At the interactive lecture "Kazakhstan on the way to a knowledge society", which outlined the tasks facing the national education and science system, the head of state gave a number of instructions arising from the new goal and tasks defined in the state program for the development of education for 2011-2020, in the article "20 steps to a society of Universal Labor".

West Kazakhstan College of engineering and technology is an educational institution that has a stable direction of development, allowing the best access to education and vocational training.

The purpose of the College is to train competitive, professionally educated specialists who meet the modern requirements of the labor market and various spheres of public life.

Currently, the West Kazakhstan College of engineering and technology was originally established by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute of management and law on may 16, 2000 (Protocol 6) as a structural division of the Institute of management and law.

By order of the Institute N34 dated August 05, 2000, the first Director of the College was appointed candidate of agricultural Sciences, associate Professor nagmetulla Bekbulatov.

On 18.06.2002, by order N43, Kim Larisa Valentinovna was appointed acting Director of the College.

On 01.03.2004, by order N27, Alexander Nikolayevich Obezyanov was the Director of the College.

Order N61 dated 01.07.2007 years Director of the College appointed Gobantes Isimeli Noremove.

From August 1, 2012 to the present time, the Director of the College is Serik Akhmetovich Alimbekov.

For the first time, the College had two departments of Economics and technical services.

By the first organizers and managers of the College, administrative work was carried out in the shortest possible time to prepare training and support staff, to receive applicants, to organize the educational process, to select teachers, training and support staff.

And on July 01, 2010, by the decision of the founder of educational institution No. 2, in connection with the allocation of the name of the educational institution from the West Kazakhstan engineering and technology University, the West Kazakhstan engineering and technology College was renamed into a non-state educational institution.

Currently, the independent West Kazakhstan College of engineering and technology is a non-state educational multi-disciplinary institution.Currently, the school has 3 departments, an economic and service Department, a technology Department, a social and humanitarian Department, and a General education Department.

Today, the West Kazakhstan College of engineering and technology is one of the multidisciplinary educational institutions in the region in technical, oil and gas, environmental, agricultural and economic specialties.

The College also trains specialists who meet the latest requirements on the basis of the state license of AB No. 0036514, issued by the order of the WKO education Department No. 560 dated August 6, 2010.

Currently, the College trains specialists in technical, oil and gas, environmental, agricultural and economic specialties. College education is provided on the basis of basic General and General secondary education in full-time and part-time forms of education. The educational process is conducted in accordance with educational standards, standard curricula and programs. All the studied specialties are fully provided with state compulsory education standards and standard educational programs. In accordance with the program of development of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019, in 2016 the College passed institutional and specialized accreditation in 3 specialties for a period of 5 years.
