WorldSkills Kazakhstan on the competence "Veterinary Medicine" was held on October 13, 2020 on the basis of the Higher Engineering-Technological College. The competition was attended by students of Akzhayik and Terekta agricultural-technical colleges. The students participating in the competition took blood from sheep, cut the sheep with a closed method, determined the types of drug administration and the location of the uterus using a rectal examination of cattle, ultrasound, and checked the pregnancy period. Also, showed signs of latent mastitis in the cow's udder and performed complex tasks such as the identification of zenarosa in the brain of sheep.

The experts paid special attention to the safety of the students participating in the competition, starting from the organization and ending with the evaluation criteria in accordance with international standards. Students of higher engineering-technological College Zhumabekov Nurdaulet took 1st place, the head-teacher of special disciplines of the master of veterinary science Zhubanysheva Guldauren Khagibaevna , Kuttimurat Abdrahman took the 2nd place, the head-teacher of special disciplines of the master of veterinary science Karimova Elvira Kazymollievna. The 3rd place was taken by Bolatov Nurdaulet, who represented the agrotechnical college Akzhaik.

The winners and chief expert Sarsekenova Tolkyn Adayevna and Deputy Director for industrial training Ayeshov Maralbek Amangeldievich were awarded medals and diplomas signed by the head of the Department of Education of the West Kazakhstan region A. Mynbayeva.
