Teacher's  Honor Code

 

1 General provisions


1.1 Honor - the moral qualities of a person worthy of respect and pride, and their corresponding principles.

 

1.2 The Code of Honor is the sum of the rules of conduct of a decent person. The Code of Honor is not a punitive document. The teacher behaves in accordance with this Code because he is decent, educated, and civilized.

 

1.3 The staff of teachers of the West Kazakhstan College of Engineering and Technology, realizing their responsibility for the implementation of the main goal of the state education system - this is the preparation of a professionally and culturally oriented person who has a worldview potential, creative thinking abilities, has stable competencies in the specialty, and, considering it his duty to strengthen and develop the principles of corporate governance, accepts this Code of Honor of a teacher of the West Kazakhstan College of Engineering and Technology and undertakes to strictly follow it.

3 Main tasks


Ensuring compliance with the rights set out in the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education", the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

4 Main functions


4.1 The main activity of the teacher is working with students, taking care of their education and culture, and educating true patriots of their homeland.

 

4.2 The teacher must be a professional who is constantly working to improve his theoretical knowledge and pedagogical skills, actively conducts research and scientific activities on the basis of an honest search for knowledge, properly ensuring evidence-based, impartial judgments

and conscientiousness in reporting results.

 

4.3 The teacher is a model of decency and intelligence, morality and morality, an active propagandist of the statehood of Kazakhstan, a principled opponent of any manifestations of corruption, indiscipline and irresponsibility

 

4.4 The teacher proves by personal example to students the need to comply with the rules of labor and academic discipline, respect for colleagues, is demanding of himself, of his words and actions, openly admits his mistakes and faithfully corrects them.


4.5 The teacher must be honest and impartial in the professional assessment of his colleagues and students, he is organized, his words coincide with the case, openly expresses his position on fundamental issues of activity and proves his point of view in a reasoned manner.

 

4.6 The teacher should maintain an atmosphere of friendship, creative cooperation and spiritual growth, prevent the occurrence of conflict situations in the team, study groups

 

4.7 The teacher should take an active part in career guidance work, in the social and cultural life of the college, city, region, in raising the level of culture and education of young people

 

4.8 The Code of Honor of a teacher of the West Kazakhstan College of Engineering and Technology is a system of moral norms, obligations and requirements of conscientious behavior, based on generally recognized moral principles and norms of the Kazakh society and state.


4.9 We take responsibility for implementing the stated basic principles and following the Teacher's Code of Honor. We will make active efforts to ensure that our college becomes a model of the moral and intellectual strength of the state education system of Kazakhstan.

 

4.10 The teacher, when entering into an employment contract with the college administration, must read and personally confirm their agreement with the listed conditions of the Code of Honor of the teacher of the ZKITK.

 

4.11 The rules of the Honor Code are the same for all teachers, regardless of their position and term of service.

 

4.12 Violation of the Code of Honor becomes one of the objects of discussion at the meetings of the department, the Pedagogical Council and, if confirmed, is the basis for termination of the employment contract.

 

5 Familiarization with the teacher's Code of Honor, compliance with its requirements and monitoring of its implementation


5.1 This Code is published after its adoption and is widely available to college teachers.

 

5.2 Newly accepted teachers should be familiar with the requirements of the Code.

 

5.3 All teachers are required to comply with the requirements of this Code.

 

5.4 Violation of the Code of Honor by teachers entails disciplinary measures.

 

6 Changes


Changes and additions to this Code will be made on the proposals of teachers once every 5 years.
