The Higher College of Engineering and Technology is currently one of the leading professional and technical educational institutions in the region, focused on the requirements of the labor market and various spheres of social life, preparing competitively capable specialists.

The Higher College of Engineering and Technology was established as a structural division in 2000, on the basis of the West Kazakhstan University of Engineering and Technology. Since 2010, the college was separated from the West Kazakhstan University of Engineering and Technology, became the "West Kazakhstan College of Engineering and Technology" at the moment, the "Higher College of Engineering and Technology" is a separately functioning non-governmental educational institution.

The college trains specialists in 16 specialties in the fields of technical, oil and gas, agriculture and economics. In addition to obtaining broad fundamental knowledge and education, highly qualified teachers work and instill in students the ability to develop creatively and search for innovative innovations.

To date, the Higher Engineering and Technological College in order to train competitive specialists in the labor market by increasing the requirements for the quality of training and providing students with opportunities for professional self-development, strengthening and improving their theoretical knowledge through practice, the college provides classes in a dual system of training in 6 specialties combining theoretical training with production, as well as modular training in 5 specialties, they received the status of an experimental platform for the preparation of an applied bachelor in 2 specialties.

The college provides full-time and part-time students on the basis of paid and state grants.

Currently, the college is one of the leading educational institutions of technical and vocational education in the field of training competitive, professionally educated specialists in various areas of the labor market and public life.
